Cynthia and myself visited Ann Arbor where she went to the University before moving to Los Angeles. She was in Detroit visiting with me and my wife Socorro. Socorro took the picture.

This is a picture of me and my father shot at Times Square in New York City on Saturday, October 4, 2008. We'd gone into the city to see how things had changed since the last time my father was there in 1961. He said the buildings are taller, things are more expensive and that you cannot throw a rock and not hit a Mexican. Just kidding he didn't say any of those things. Photo by Socorro Alvarez

The Korean Police Association of NYC held a parade down Broadway in NYC on Saturday, October 4, 2008. The young Korean girls were dressed in traditional clothing as they made their way south along Broadway. I stumbled across this scene while walking along Broadway in front of the Macy's flagship store. Photography by Carlos F. Alvarez
